Sharing the first Christmas room for 2016, our plaid Christmas bedroom. A few weeks ago I shared that we were painting over the navy blue in our bedroom and painting it white.
Remind me next time I want to paint over navy, to have a lot of patience. It took 3 coats to cover the navy :(.
This whole thing started because I found this awesome bedding at HomeGoods but wasn’t loving the idea of blue walls. So instead of being a normal person and finding bedding that would work with my existing wall color, I decided to paint the walls white so I could get this bedding.
My husband told me I have issues.
Kind of fun right? The snow flakes on the wall are tree ornaments from HomeGoods. I used double sided tape to adhere them to the wall.
This is an inexpensive way to fill a blank wall during Christmas.
Flat ornaments can stick to just about any surface ;).
Here is the room with navy walls.
Isn’t it amazing what paint can do for a room?
Plaid Bedding | All Pillows | Wreaths | White Throw | Red Ornaments | Lamps | Greens – HomeGoods
I created layers by using a velour blanket, ruffled duvet, a plaid quilt and finished the look with a variety of pillows.
A simple strand of garland paired with two red reindeer complete the look on top of the dresser.
This is the first year I put a large Christmas tree in our bedroom. Last year, I did a small tabletop tree next to my side of the bed.
This next picture is for my husband telling me I have issues.
He came home from work one day to the room white with Christmas stuff everywhere. He looks like such a goof sleeping in the middle of it all! -ha.
Do you remember last year’s Naughty or Nice theme?
Look at the above image and then look below, do you see what side my husband sleeps on?
So which Christmas bedroom do you prefer? Navy or White?
